So yesterday, John to me was a little monster- i know it didn't help that we didn't go out. So I put them in the tub at 6:30 figuring they could play for 30-45 minutes. John has this bad habit of wanting to be the first to do things- last night it was the first to get out of the tub. So i got him out and dried him off- had his PJ ready to put on him. Off he goes running. Downstairs. I was like OK- when he comes up i will catch him cause i can't leave little miss alone in the tub. I hear crying. Take little miss out of the tub and go downstairs to see what's wrong - Get to the toy room and John is sprawled out on the floor bawling. I hurt my teeth he says. So i say the best thing for that is going to bed. Let's get you some ice and to bed we go.
Alas- mommy forgot to give her son a snack before bed - bad mommy. I bring him some goldfish he tries to eat one and screams out in pain "it hurts mommy - it hurts" Well put the ice on it John and go to sleep- He was out within minutes.
Get up this morning at 6:30 to get him ready for school. He wants toast for breakfast (i completely forgot about the sore teeth). he takes a bite and complains again...CRAP - Mommy I am too sore to go to school- He loves school- i know something is definitely wrong with little man. So i tried calling the dentist, since i have an appointment for Laura at 9:30 - i decided to go to emerge. Get there, doctor tells us to see the dentist as he doesn't see anything wrong. Went to the dentist at 1:30 - dentist says he probably bruised his gums and jaw- should be fine as he doesn't see anything wrong. So now he missed a day of school - all i can think of is when my family went to Florida when i was in grade 6 or 7. We were at the bank during school hours and my sister didn't want to go in. My mom asked her why " because i don't want them to think i am a hooker!" (instead of playing hookie)
